The Milwaukee Brewers won the NL Central for a second straight year as they finished with a 93-69 record.

In the 2024 postseason, the Brewers took on the New York Mets in the wild-card round and lost the series two games to one.

Although the Brewers won their division two years in a row, they have also lost in the wild-card round two years in a row.

The Brewers will look to reset next season, and it starts with having one key hitter returning to the lineup.

“Rhys Hoskins has exercised his $18 million player option to come back to the Brewers in 2025,” Adam McCalvy of MLB.com wrote on X.

Rhys Hoskins has exercised his $18 million player option to come back to the Brewers in 2025.

Hoskins came into the league in 2017 with the Philadelphia Phillies and played six seasons before missing 2023 due to injury.

The Brewers signed Hoskins for the 2024 season, and he put up some exceptional numbers despite sitting out an entire season.

Hoskins batted .214 with 26 home runs, 82 RBIs and a .722 OPS in 131 games played as a first baseman and DH.

The Brewers will have Hoskins again for the 2025 season when they hope he continues to build momentum as he moves further away from his knee injury.

With zero World Series championships in franchise history, and not appearing in one since 1982, the Brewers will look to get over the hump with the help of Hoskins.

The Brewers have made the playoffs in six of the past seven seasons but have appeared in just one NLCS and lost in the wild-card round four times.
