The New York Mets defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in game 2 of the National League Championship Series by a score of 7-3 on Monday.
After getting blown out by a score of 9-0 in game 1 on Sunday, the Mets bounced back nicely to tie up the series before heading back to New York for game 3.
Mets slugger Mark Vientos had the big blow with a grand slam home run in the 2nd inning of game 2.
Vientos has been on fire for the entirety of the 2024 postseason, and he kept it going on Monday.

Vientos’ 11 runs batted in are the 3rd most in franchise history during a single postseason, and they are only heading into game 3 of the NLCS.
In 111 games played during the regular season, Vientos batted .266 with 27 home runs, 71 runs batted in, and a .837 on-base plus slugging percentage.

The Mets are looking to appear in their first World Series since 2015.
Game 3 will take place on Wednesday night in New York where the Mets will look to Luis Severino on the bump against Walker Buehler for the Dodgers.
