The New York Yankees lived up to their history of winning in 2024 as they made their first World Series appearance since 2009 after finishing with a record of 94-68 and capturing the American League East.

Although the Yankees lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers, it was a good sight for fans to see their team back in the Fall Classic.

This offseason, the Yankees lost superstar outfielder Juan Soto as a free agent, but they were able to make a few notable acquisitions.

Some players added to the roster include starting pitcher Max Fried, relief pitcher Devin Williams and outfielder Cody Bellinger.

Their latest deal brings back relief pitcher Tim Hill, and MLB insider Jon Heyman revealed the details of the contract.

“Hill Yanks deal: $2.85M. $2.5M salary, 350K buyout on 2026 club option,” Heyman wrote on X.

Hill is a 34-year-old relief pitcher who debuted in 2018 with the Kansas City Royals and has played for four teams in his MLB career.

In 2024 with the Chicago White Sox and the Yankees, Hill appeared in 62 games and was 4-0 with a 3.36 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 67.0 innings pitched.

The Yankees hope they can get the same production from Hill in 2025 as he gave them in 2024.

After joining the Yankees, Hill appeared in 35 games and held a 2.05 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 44.0 innings pitched.
