The Minnesota Twins missed the postseason in 2024 after finishing with a record of 82-80 and coming in fourth in the American League Central.

After winning their first playoff series in more than 20 years in 2023, the Twins followed up by collapsing in the second half of the season and missing the playoffs.

This offseason has been quiet for the Twins, as they have not made any notable acquisitions and lost multiple players as free agents.

Some notable subtractions from the organization include outfielder Max Kepler, first baseman Carlos Santana and relief pitcher Caleb Thielbar.

One MLB analyst recently revealed how Twins fans might perceive the payroll cut and subsequent lack of moves this offseason.

“It’s sort of a slap in the face to do that,” Dan Hayes said, via Foul Territory.

Hayes discusses the television problem that the Twins encountered last season, when many fans couldn’t watch the team play during a winning streak.

Along with that issue, the Twins have not shown any real effort to improve the roster this offseason.

In a division that had three teams make the postseason in 2024, the Twins will have strong competition in 2025 if they want to contend for the AL Central title.

The Twins appear to have a lot of problems to figure out both in the front office and with their fans.

It will be interesting to see if they make any last-second moves this offseason before the start of the 2025 season.
