The Boston Red Sox have fallen off over the past few seasons after winning the World Series in 2018.
Since then, they have made the postseason once and have missed the playoffs the past three seasons.
This offseason, the Red Sox have made some major moves to improve their pitching, adding starters Garrett Crochet and Walker Buehler, and reliever Aroldis Chapman.
With rumors swirling about the Red Sox adding a bat, MLB insider Jon Morosi revealed what he’s hearing regarding a possible trade.
“Boston is not the only team right now that [Nolan] Arenado is willing to waive that no-trade clause,” Morisi said, via MLB Network.
Nolan Arenado has reportedly been more “open minded” to waiving his no-trade clause to more teams in the last 24 hours, per @jonmorosi.#MLBNHotStove pic.twitter.com/AibevANjLl

It was previously reported that Arenado would only be willing to be traded to the Red Sox, but Morosi revealed that there could be more teams he’s willing to go to.
The veteran third baseman played eight seasons for the Colorado Rockies before going to the St. Louis Cardinals for the past four seasons.
The 33-year-old could be just what the Red Sox are looking for, but he reportedly could be willing to be traded to the Seattle Mariners or Detroit Tigers as well.
In 2024 with the Cardinals, Arenado played 152 games and batted .272 with 16 home runs, 71 RBIs and a .719 OPS.
Arenado proved that he still has the tools to perform and will be a name to watch to see if he gets moved before the 2025 season.
