The Boston Red Sox reside in one of Major League Baseball’s toughest divisions the American League East.
In a division that includes the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles, the Red Sox have their work cut out for them if they want to win a division title in 2025.
After finishing in third place in the AL East in 2024, the Red Sox have made some big moves this offseason to load up on starting pitching.
The Red Sox traded for Garrett Crochet from the Chicago White Sox earlier this offseason, but they reportedly made another signing on Monday.
According to FOX Sports: MLB on ‘X,’ a first look at the potential starting rotation was revealed after the signing of Walker Buehler from the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Here is the projected rotation for the Red Sox after they reportedly signed Walker Buehler to a one-year deal this morning

Looks good on paper

I don’t see how we win less than 105

It’s pretty good.

Most fans agree that the rotation looks good on paper, but not everybody is sold on the rotation until they see them in action next season.
Buehler is 30 years old and came into the league in 2017 with the Los Angeles Dodgers where he has played all seven seasons of his MLB career.
In 2024 with the Dodgers, Buehler started 16 games where he held a record of 1-6 with a 5.38 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 75.1 innings pitched.
Although Buehler had a rocky 2024, he showed his potential back in 2021 when he started 33 games and had a 2.47 ERA with 212 strikeouts in 207.2 innings pitched.
The Red Sox will try to dethrone the Yankees and take back the AL East by winning their first division title since winning the World Series in 2018.
