The Los Angeles Dodgers won the eighth World Series title in franchise history by defeating the New York Yankees.
So, entering the offseason, the Dodgers already had one of the best rosters in Major League Baseball, but they continue to add talent instead of staying idle.
The Dodgers signed starting pitcher Blake Snell and re-signed outfielder Teoscar Hernandez, and now have agreed to terms with an infielder from overseas.
“Free-agent infielder Hyeseong Kim and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on a three-year, $12.5 million contract, according to a source familiar with the deal. There’s an option for 2028-2029 (can be picked up together) with a chance to make $22 million,” Robert Murray of FanSided wrote on X.

The Dodgers were expected to make an overseas free agent signing this offseason, but Kim was not the name that came to mind.
With Japanese stars Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto already on the team, the Dodgers are expected to also add Japanese pitcher Roki Sasaki.
Though the Dodgers still might sign Sasaki, they are bringing Kim over from Korea.
In 2024, the 25-year-old played 127 games with a .326 batting average, 11 home runs, 75 RBIs and a .841 OPS.
The Dodgers are looking like they could have arguably the best roster again heading into the 2025 season.
As they reload this offseason, Sasaki is a name to keep an eye on as he is yet to sign with an MLB team.
Even without him, the Dodgers are well-positioned to win back-to-back World Series titles for the first time in their history.
