The New York Yankees have been experiencing some tough times recently.
They lost the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers and their star player, Juan Soto, to the New York Mets.
While the Yankees would have liked nothing more than to bring Soto back to the team in 2025, they now have to improvise and make the best of the situation.
The Yankees appear to be doing just that, as they have added two pitchers to their roster for 2025.
With the money saved by not signing Soto, the Yankees were able to sign one of the top starting pitcher free agents, Max Fried, from the Atlanta Braves, along with trading for a shutdown reliever, Devin Williams, from the Milwaukee Brewers.
Williams showed off his new team with an interesting profile picture on social media.
Williams revealed his Airbender profile picture, which stems from his dominant change-up that appears like it is being air-bended.

The Yankees likely have their closer for 2025, and Williams is one of the best relievers in the game.
In 2024, Williams appeared in 22 games for the Brewers, with a record of 1-0, a 1.25 ERA, and 38 strikeouts in 21.2 innings pitched.
Williams has held a sub-two ERA each of the last three seasons, and the Yankees will benefit from having a reliable closer after last year’s issues at the position.
Although Williams battled through some injuries in 2024, when healthy, he is one of the best closers in all of baseball.
