Major League Baseball was hit with the biggest news of the offseason as top free agent outfielder Juan Soto signed a 15-year contract worth $765 million with the New York Mets.
The long-anticipated decision by Soto was finally made as the superstar will stay in the state of New York but move over to the Mets from the New York Yankees.
After a Cinderella postseason run by the Mets in 2024 to the National League Championship Series, the team has its eyes set on the World Series in 2025.
With the addition of Soto, the Mets could potentially have one of the most dangerous offenses in all of baseball next season.
According to B/R Walk-Off on ‘X,’ a first look potential lineup for the Mets was released.

Mets fans don’t sound too impressed by the projected lineup as they took to social media to express their reactions.

While many people would have expected Mets fans to be thrilled over the addition of Soto, the reactions to the projected 2025 lineup say otherwise.
Many fans expect the Mets to make more moves and believe that the 2025 lineup will look nothing like this.
Other fans mention the lineup being top-heavy and being enough to make the postseason but not win a World Series title.
Although Mets fans are not approving of the current projected lineup, there is still plenty of talent left on the table this offseason that the Mets could explore.
The Mets will look to appear in their first World Series since 2015 and win their first title since 1986.
