The Los Angeles Dodgers capped off an amazing season with their eighth World Series title in franchise history.
As the offseason moves along, the Dodgers are preparing for a title defense.
With a loaded free agent class, they have already made a splash by signing starting pitcher Blake Snell to a five-year deal worth $182 million.
It appears like the Dodgers aren’t done yet, as plenty of rumors are swirling around the team.
One MLB insider recently revealed they are the likely destination for another free agent starting pitcher.
“Industry belief is that Roki Sasaki has already chosen where he wants to sign, with the ‘most likely’ choice being the Dodgers, per Buster Olney (of ESPN),” B/R Walk-Off wrote on X.

Sasaki is a 23-year-old starting pitcher who is coming over from Japan.
In 2024, Sasaki appeared in 18 games and was 10-5 with a 2.35 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 111.0 innings pitched.
There has been some concern with Sasaki about his injury issues, but he remains one of the top free agents left on the market.
Olney reports that the Dodgers are going to be Sasaki’s choice, and he will join fellow Japanese players Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
The Dodgers appear to be focused on loading up their starting rotation with the signing of Snell and the possible signing of Sasaki.
In 2025, the Dodgers will attempt to win back-to-back World Series titles for the first time in their history.
