The Chicago White Sox finished one of the worst seasons in Major League Baseball history with a record of 41 wins and 121 losses.
It was by far the worst season for the White Sox in their franchise history, and they will attempt to right the ship in 2025 by addressing many different areas of their team.
One of the first moves the White Sox made was hiring new Manager Will Venable to begin to correct all of the problems they faced in 2024.
Venable was asked what specific things the team will address this offseason before heading into the 2025 season.
“I think there are things in all areas that we are planning on addressing,” Venable said.

Venable mentions that the team was ahead pitching-wise compared to the position players, so being able to score runs will be a big focus for the team in 2025.
The White Sox scored only 507 runs in 2024 while allowing 813 runs against.
Venable will have his work cut out for him if he wants to get the White Sox back to being a competitive team in 2025.
The White Sox downfall was dramatic as they won the American League Central in 2021 winning 93 games, but they won 81 games in 2022, 61 games in 2023, and then 41 games in 2024.
Venable will have to deal with a tough division as well as the AL Central was responsible for three playoff teams in 2024 with the fourth-place Minnesota Twins also having a winning record of 82 wins and 80 losses.
The White Sox have hit rock bottom in 2024 and will have nowhere else to go but up in 2025 with Venable as their new Manager.
