The Baltimore Orioles ended their 2024 season with a first-round exit in the postseason after losing to the Kansas City Royals in the wild-card round.
After back-to-back seasons that were promising, the Orioles lost in their first playoff series and did not win a game in the series either year.
As the Orioles prepare for the 2025 season, they announced eight roster moves made by the team on Monday.
According to Baltimore Orioles on ‘X,’ the moves made included Seranthony Dominguez, Ryan O’Hearn, Cionel Perez, Danny Coulombe, Felix Bautista, Kyle Bradish, Jorge Mateo, and Tyler Wells.

The Orioles elected to exercise their 2025 club option for right-handed pitcher Dominguez, infielder/outfielder O’Hearn, and left-handed pitcher Perez.
Coulombe was the only player announced where the Orioles declined the 2025 club option.
Right-handed pitchers Bautista, Bradish, and Wells, along with infielder/outfielder Mateo were all reinstated from the 60-day injured list.
The Orioles have fallen short in the postseason the last two years, but they have had productive regular seasons as they won the American League East in 2023 after winning 101 games.
Bringing back Dominguez and Perez will give the Orioles a veteran presence in their bullpen as both of these players came into the league in 2018.
O’Hearn is another player who has been in the league since 2018 and played 142 games for the Orioles in 2024 batting .264 with 15 home runs, 59 runs batted in, and a .761 on-base plus slugging percentage.
Although the Orioles are already making moves, a big name to keep an eye on as the offseason progresses is free agent Anthony Santander who hit 44 home runs in 2024.
