Dave Roberts Makes Prediction For Dodgers In 2025

Dave Roberts secured his second World Series title as manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The New York Yankees held a five-run lead at one point in Game 5, but the Dodgers rallied for a 7-6 victory to capture the championship.

To celebrate, the Dodgers held their championship parade in Los Angeles, and during the festivities, Roberts made a prediction for next season.

“Let’s get ready to run this thing back next year too,” Roberts said, via B/R Walk-Off.

The Dodgers won their eighth World Series title in franchise history and their second under Roberts.

Roberts began managing the Dodgers in 2016, and he has won the National League pennant in 2017 and 2018, and the World Series in 2020 and now 2024.

The Dodgers will likely be the favorites to win the World Series again next year with the firepower in their lineup.

Some key free agents this offseason include starting pitcher Jack Flaherty, utility man Kike Hernandez, outfielder Teoscar Hernandez and starting pitcher Walker Buehler.

The Dodgers will return Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman to lead off their lineup.

Roberts believes the Dodgers can go back-to-back next season, and what they do this offseason will be something to watch.

Although they have two starting pitchers who will be free agents, they won the World Series without arguably their ace pitcher Tyler Glasnow and veteran Clayton Kershaw.

The Dodgers may also have their eye on Juan Soto as the outfielder hits free agency.
