There is little question in 2024 that the Philadelphia Phillies will once again be playing October baseball.
The team sports the best record in the majors and has a comfortable cushion over the second-place Atlanta Braves in the NL East.
The pitching staff is the best in the sport, and the batting lineup is filled with tough outs who always seem to come through with the clutch hit.
One of the brightest stars on the Phillies is first baseman Bryce Harper, a two-time MVP and eight-time All-Star who is obviously enjoying this run of success.
FOX Sports MLB reported that Harper is glowing about the overall attitude in the Phillies clubhouse.
The superstar explained, “When the culture is good in the clubhouse, there is nothing better…I got chills because I know what Dave (Dombrowski) wants to do…win.”
Bryce Harper just gets it. This team just gets it. 🙌
Harper added, “It’s not World Series or bust, it’s World Series every year. That’s the mindset.”
The Phillies most recently played in the Fall Classic in 2022 but have not won it all since 2008.
However, they are clearly established as a potent postseason squad with plenty of experience playing games when they count the most.
And home field advantage is a reality in the City of Brotherly Love.
As for Harper, he is doing his all to keep the winning ways alive in Philadelphia as he is batting .301 with 21 home runs and 61 RBIs.
Barring a second half collapse, the Phillies will likely be playing for the championship when the weather finally turns cooler.
And if winning cures all ills, the Philadelphia clubhouse is indeed a happy one.
