It doesn’t take much to make a baseball fan smile, as a signed ball or even a quick meet and greet could give a fan a moment that will last a lifetime.
That relationship goes both ways, as sometimes fans are the ones making players smile and giving them a moment they’ll remember forever, which is exactly what happened yesterday in a clip that surfaced out of Milwaukee Brewers camp.
Contreras seemed to get a good chuckle out of the interaction, which surely broke up the monotony of signing the same things all day long.
The account originally shared a post with the screenshot and told it’s followers it would go to Contreras’ signing and get the screenshot signed if the tweet received at least 100 likes.
Maybe Contreras wouldn’t have been in such a good mood if he wasn’t off to such a strong start this year, as the catcher is currently sporting a .342 batting average with five homers and 30 RBIs to go along with a .953 OPS.
Milwaukee is off to an early lead in the NL West and Contreras is emerging as one of the league’s elite catchers.
