Fans React To Jackson Chourio’s First Career Home Run

The Milwaukee Brewers have shown in recent years that they are a premier organization.

They are an example of what a small-market team should be: constantly looking for ways to remain competitive despite obvious budget limitations.

They focus on bringing in smart, analytic-driven people to their baseball operations department, they scout well, they are great drafters, and their player development skills are amazing.

This offseason, they lost two architects of their 2015-2023 squads: David Stearns and Craig Counsell, not to mention trading their ace Corbin Burnes.

Yet here they are, putting on a show in the NL Central with a 4-0 record as of Wednesday afternoon.

One of the young stars they recently developed is Jackson Chourio.

The center fielder oozes talent, both with the bat and with the glove.

Chourio entered Wednesday’s matinee against the Minnesota Twins with a .375/.412/.438 line and a .849 OPS.

He had a double and a stolen base, but no home runs.

Well, that changed: he hit a breaking ball over the middle of the plate and sent it to center field for his first career long ball.

Fans, of course, were very excited for the young phenom.

The kid!!!

it’s a memorable moment! Jackson Chourio’s first MLB homer is a big achievement. Here’s to more success in his career

Considered MLB’s second-best prospect entering the season, Chourio signed an eight-year extension in the offseason and the Brewers decided to give him the center field job.

After hitting 22 home runs and stealing 44 bases in the minors last year, the world wasn’t prepared for his sky-high potential.

He played just six games in Triple-A, but Milwaukee didn’t care: they always believed in him.

He is looking like a star in the making.
