Fernando Tatis Jr. got off to a slow start this season and was hitting just .233 with six home runs on May 1, but he has turned it around lately and has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball over the past few weeks.
His run has been so lethal that he is quickly reasserting himself among the game’s best and his numbers have been nothing short of eye-popping during this streak.
Underdog MLB shared a post on Twitter highlighting how dominant Tatis has been during his current 16-game hitting streak, pointing out that he has hit .413 over that stretch with five home runs, nine RBI, and 12 runs scored.

Tatis homered again in last night’s 6-1 win over the Oakland A’s for his second consecutive game with a home run and third in his last four.
His OPS has risen from .736 to .829 during the streak and his average has climbed from .244 to .280, and he is now hitting .439 in the month of June with a 1.305 OPS.
Tatis was off-the-charts special in his first three seasons before missing all of 2022 due to a failed steroid test and an injury suffered in a motorcycle accident, and upon his return last season, he did not look like the same player for the most part.
This stretch has reminded fans of what a special talent Tatis is, and it has been much-needed for a Padres team that is now without Xander Bogaerts for an extended stretch and is still coping with the loss of Juan Soto this offseason.
Let’s see how long he can keep this streak going.
