The New York Yankees trail the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series by two games ahead of game three on Monday.

After playing the first two games at Dodger Stadium, the Yankees will return home to Yankee Stadium for game three as they try to get things on track.

Game three’s lineup will include a change at the catcher position for the Yankees as Jose Trevino replaces Austin Wells.

Trevino revealed his thoughts about getting his first start in the World Series.

“This is every little kid’s dream,” Trevino said.

New York Yankees catcher Jose Trevino on making his first World Series start: “This is every little kid’s dream.”

The Yankees’ offense has struggled through the first two games of the series as they have only scored a combined five runs thus far.

Wells started the first two games of the series at catcher for the Yankees where he had one hit in eight at-bats while striking out three times.

Trevino appeared in 73 games during the regular season where he hit .215 with eight home runs, 28 runs batted in, and a .642 on-base plus slugging percentage.

After not appearing in the American League Division Series, Trevino had two at-bats in the American League Championship Series, and one at-bat thus far in the World Series.

Trevino will get the start and bat eighth in game three and will face Walker Buehler who will get the start for the Dodgers.

The Yankees appear to be in desperate need of a win and could go on a run as games three, four, and five, if necessary, will take place at their home park.
